A Fun Time at Mrs Allen's
We went to Mrs Allen's house to have lunch where we had fish and chips and a great time with all the animals. We met Turks, who was scary but beautiful - he attacked Marguerite, Wesley and Melissa, don't worry they were ok. We met Ernie (pictured left), Casper the horse (also pictured left), Rusty the chook, Beatrix the girl pig, Bruiza and reily the labradours, Mouse the rat, Michael Jeremy the guinea pig, Casper the tabby cat, Missy the angora goat and last but not least, mellygoose.
Over all we think it was fun at Mrs Allen's house, the food was delisious.

On Friday we went to Mrs Allen's house. We arrived seeing Marguerite getting attacked by a big ugly turkey. After the big ugly turkey was in the shed. I hopped out of the car and a big fat pig (Beatrix) who looked like a walking sausage, rubbed my leg. I saw another walking (Ernie) so I went inside.

Cross Country at Kaharoa
Imagine this. Rolling green pastures, fences and valleys clad with pine trees. What do you imagine? Peace, serenity, cows, milking or hunting? Well it is none of these.
It is endurance, sweat, maybe tears, breathlessness, participation, achievement and pain. This is what 9 of Room 1's students experienced when they attended the Kaharoa School cross country last Friday (18/06/2010).
These kids gave it their very best with an awesome positive attitude and I was very proud of what they achieved and how they represented our school.
These fantastic kids were-
Tegan
Michaela
Marguerite
Shannon
Matauranga
Wesley
Mitchell
Isobella
Melissa
This course is very challenging and it takes a lot of endurance and determination which all 9 students succeeded in. Well done people.
These opportunities would not be possible if it weren't for the support we get from home so thank you to all. A special thanks goes out to Rachel and Suzanne for providing transport, encouragement and support. You made it possible for us to attend.
I hope you all enjoy the photos.
Cheers from
Mrs Allen
